My first book, Suits, Swagg, and Success, is a part of a series that will share best practices and strategies I used in the classroom or as a school leader.
I’ve recently heard from current classroom teachers who would say that the issue in public schools isn’t so much classroom management, it’s meeting the social and emotional needs of our youth.
The children are in a mental health crisis, plagued by the ongoing battle of neglect and disassociation/distraction through devices and technology.
It’s the same old issue and a failure for us to accept the reality and truth before us. We can’t reach the current generation if we aren’t engaged with them.
Suits, Swagg, and Success help parents, teachers, educators, and leaders to look at Black boys as humans. Humanizing Black boys is a revolutionary act.
